Warren A. Brown, 77, of Newtown, Pa., formerly of Manalapan, died April 22 at St. Mary's Hospital, Newtown.

He was brought up in Roselle Park but lived much of his adult life in Manalapan, where he and his wife raised seven children.

Prior to retiring 16 years ago from his position as a consultant with Saudi Aramco, the Saudi Arabian Oil Co., he had been the owner-operator of W.A. Brown Fabricators & Welders, Linden.

Following his retirement, he pursued his love of traveling to exotic places. Mr. Brown was an avid reader, as well as a former dancer on the "Arthur Murray Dance Party" musical variety television show of the 1950s.

He was predeceased by an older brother, Donald Brown. Surviving are his wife, Anne; five sons, Robert Brown of Denver, Roy Brown of Philadelphia, David Brown of Lakewood, Dr. Mark Brown of Newtown and Lester Brown of Clearwater, Fla.; two daughters, Eileen Brown Davis of Richmond, Va., and Kathleen Brown Baratta of Freehold Township; a sister, Judy Strack of Bayville; a brother, Roy Brown of Summerfield, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.

Interment took place at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Civil Liberties Union.
