Thomas Lee Allen
Thomas Lee Allen, 34, joined Aramco in June 1963, to teach social studies at the Dhahran School.
A native of Alabama, Allen took all of his schooling in that state. He graduated from high school in Heflin, Ala., in 1947 and four years later received his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University.
Following four years of service in the U. S. Air Force, Allen returned to Heflin to teach seventh grade for a year, and then, from 1956 to 1958, taught eight and ninth grade social studies in Anniston, Ala.
At this time he enrolled at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa and was awarded his M.A. in School Administration in July 1959.Allen was next hired by the Sarasota, Fla., County Board of Public Instruction and until the time he joined Aramco, he taught ninth grade civics, served as head of the social studies department and coached the tennis team at Brookside Junior High School.
Accompanying Allen were his wife, the former Emogene Wilson, and their two daughters, Teresa Lynn, 9, and Laura Lee, 3.
