Shane loved his Church and Family. His break from work would find him fishing at Elephant Butte or hunting along the Rio Grande. He was a big Chicago Bears fan and loved to watch them play on TV.

His children Troy, Tressa and Tay-ler were outstanding athletes. Troy was a 3 year All District Football Player; Tressa was a 2 time Texas State Wrestling Champion; and Tay-ler was an undefeated wrestler and made it to the State Finals with 2 wins in the finals.
