Romualdo Lopez Jaramillo
Romualdo Lopez Jaramillo, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Mr. Jaramillo was a native of Paranaque, Philippines and was a resident of Destrehan, LA.
Beloved husband of Lolena Lagahit Jaramillo for 48 years. Father of Rolan Jaramillo (Terrie) of Destrehan, LA, U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Romel Jaramillo (Monica) of Osan AB, Republic of Korea, Lisette Savois (Ralph) of Destrehan, LA, Roderick Jaramillo (Tracy) of Frisco, TX and Laura Haines (Jason) of Frisco, TX. Grandfather of ChloƩ Jaramillo, Zane Jaramillo, Isabella Jaramillo, William Jaramillo, Matthew Jaramillo, Vanessa Jaramillo, Gavin Savois, Carly Savois, Taylor Jaramillo, Reid Jaramillo, Makaella Haines and Adalyn Haines. Son of the late Esteban DeLeon Jaramillo and Elisa Lopez Jaramillo. Brother of Filomeno Jaramillo, Lilia Matias, Remedios Lacuna, Armando Jaramillo, Lolita Aldana, Arnulfo Jaramillo and the late Alfredo Jaramillo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jaramillo received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Feati University, Manila, Philippines. Mr. Jaramillo was a former employee of Philippine Refining Company, Saudi Arabia Aramco Oil Company, Reco Crane Company, Harahan, LA and he retired from Home Depot, Kenner, LA.
He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA and was very devout to his Catholic faith. Mr. Jaramillo was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather and was an avid Saints and LSU fan. He will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday evening, August 12, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Thursday morning, August 13, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Road in Destrehan, LA beginning at 10:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Air Force Aid Society in Mr. Jaramillo's honor.
