Robert Barry Prescott
(Robert) Barry Prescott passed away from a sudden aortic rupture on April 14, 2012, in St. George, Utah.
He worked at Ras Tanura Schools as a special reading instructor from 1984-2002. He and his wife, Pam, retired in 2002 and returned briefly to California and then on to St. George.
Barry was deeply involved in the work of New Promise Lutheran Church, singing in the choir, encouraging visitors and new members, and coordinating and working in New Promise's contribution to the Community Kitchen. He especially loved Zion National Park, hiking and climbing in areas few visit.
Barry is survived by his wife, Pam, son Joshua, daughter Danika and granddaughter Sophia Mizuki. Barry is sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

(Robert) Barry Prescott passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was born October 24, 1941, in Gary, Indiana to Robert Prescott and Florence Renn Prescott. He was married to Pamela Prescott in 1968 in La Jolla, California.
Raised in Chula Vista, California, Barry had a BA in Education from San Diego State University and a Masters Degree from Washington State University. Barry taught generations of children on assignments including Saudi Arabia. Barry was in the Peace Corps, the Teacher's Corps and a Viet Nam Veteran.
Barry is survived by his wife Pamela and their children Joshua and Danika, his brothers Lane and Randy and sister Karen, and granddaughter Sophia.
Barry loved the hills and canyons of the region and enjoyed the sounds of nature and loved music. He loved his church and was a volunteer and coordinator for the New Promise Lutheran Contribution to Community Kitchen. He worked on missions to Texas, Mexico, Jordan and India.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 21st at New Promise Lutheran Church, 244 S Valley View Drive, St. George at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran World Relief Fund, 700 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.
