Robert A. Stupay
Robert A. Stupay, Tapline Company Representative, Pipe Line Area, died in an automobile accident on Tuesday, April 18. Memorial services were held in Ras Tanura Thursday, April 20.
Mr. Stupay joined Aramco on May 21, 1955, and upon arrival in Dhahran assumed the duties of Government Relations Representative. He was transferred to Tapline in October 1955 and worked in Badanah, Rafha and Turaif until July, 1958 when he was re-assigned to Aramco. He was Government Relations Representative in Dhahran and Dammam until his transfer to Ras Tanura as Local Representative in February 1961, a position he held until his recent transfer back to Tapline on Feb. 11,1967.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Stupay received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Iowa. He also studied at the Middle East Centre for Arabic Studies at Shemlan, Lebanon in 1963 and 1964.
Mr. Stupay is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter Suzanne, and sons Scott, Kevin and Terry. Their contact address is Mrs. Robert A.
