Raymond Brad Holiday

Ray was born in New Castle, Pa., on July 26, 1926, to Stan and Florence Holiday.

He joined the U.S. Army in 1944. After his Army service, Ray went to Saudi Arabia and worked with Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO) for 30 years.

Ray was a past master mason of Masonic Lodge #49, and member of the Aahmes Shrine Temple. He was a member of SIRs branch 80 and then 105.

He was an avid golfer and world traveler, and enjoyed his many fishing trips to Canada.

He leaves behind his wife, Holly; sons, Jeffrey (Saudi Arabia) and Glenn (Reno, Nev.); stepson, Perry Quinn (Maryanne); Cecily, Fiona, and Danny (Boulder, Colo.); brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Happy Sherrard; and his beloved cat, Captain Morgan.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Moses and Irene Best, both from Pennsylvania.

The family wishes to thank Nazareth Rose Garden of Napa and Napa Valley Hospice for their care and kindness. Special thanks to Ray's longtime physician, Dr. E. Arras.

Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St., Napa. Chaplain Lee Shaw will officiate.
