Peter Paul Plovich
Peter Paul Plovich died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ at the age of 90.
He was born in Benton Village, Wisconsin on Monday, August 4, 1919 to Michael and Maria Plovich.
Peter married Mildred Marie Bellovich on October 4, 1941.
He was a graduate of Livingston High School where he was a star basketball player.
He served during World War II in the U.S. Army, D Company 407th Infantry and was a recipient of the Bronze Star for bravery and valor.
While living in Illinois, Peter was employed by Standard Oil Company and then worked for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia for one year. He and his family moved to Arizona in 1960 where he became one of the original nine salesmen who sold property at Lake Havasu City while working for the Holly Development Company of the McCullough Corporation. After a successful career in real estate, he then worked for Courtesy Chevrolet of Phoenix, from which he retired in 1989. Peter enjoyed playing golf and poker throughout his life.
Peter is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret Trausch, her husband Stephen of Scottsdale, AZ and Paula McLean, her husband Kevin of Unionville, PA; Three grandchildren, Dae Marie, Kendra and Peter and one great grandson, Jacob.
Peter was preceded in death by his wife Mildred of 50 years, who died on July 6, 1991, his brother Stephen, and his parents-in-law Joseph and Mary Bellovich and sister-in-law Betty Dal Pozzo.
A committal service will be held at the Sacred Heart Cemetary in Livingston, IL on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 11:00 am. With Fr. George Radosevich officiating. The Lesicko Funeral Home, in Livingston IL is in charge of local arrangements.
