Paul Arvin
Paul Arvin, 34, came to Arabia from Cleveland Heights, Ohio, arriving in August, 1963. He was a fourth grade teacher at the Dhahran School.
Arvin was accompanied on the flight by his bride, the former Sheryl Cooke, whom he married in Rome earlier this month. Mrs. Arvin's home was in Bay Village, Ohio.
Arvin received his high school education in Youngstown, Ohio, and graduated from Youngstown College in 1952 with a degree in Elementary Education. From 1952 to 1954, he was in the U.S. Army.
Following his Army service, he was hired by the Cleveland Board of Education and taught elementary grades in the Cleveland school system until 1957. During this period, he attended summer sessions at Kent State University and received his Master's degree in Administrative Education.
