Nick Chauvin Passes Away

Nick Chauvin, oldest son of Aramco retiree Hugh Chauvin, died suddenly and unexpectedly on June 16th, 2005.

Nick lived and attended school in Ras Tanura from 1980 until 1986 and was a returning college student from 1991 until 1993. Nick truly enjoyed living in Saudi Arabia and all of the great vacations he took with his family over the years to Europe, the Far East and Middle East.

Nick was married to Laurel Sweet in 2001 and was living in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the time of his death. He had just turned 32 on the 3rd of June.

Nick is survived by his parents, Hugh and Lizz Chauvin, currently on assignment in the Netherlands, brothers Marc and Lance in Dallas, Texas, and wife Laurel. The attached photo was taken in Houston at the end of May, 2005 during the ARAMCO Brats reunion.

Nick was cremated and buried in Morgan City, Louisiana next to his paternal grandfather.
