Mimi Silver
Born in Berkeley, California on June 9th, 1959, raised in Beaverton, Oregon; Mimi Louise Silver, Loving Mother, Sister, and Friend passed away peacefully March 14th, 2012 surrounded by her loving children Eugene (Gino), Elliot (Eli), and Shayna Silver.
Mimi Silver was an extraordinarily supportive and loving mother, raising her children was her proudest accomplishment. She was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer's disease in late 2009, months after seeing her youngest child (Shayna) off to college.
Mimi was a very proud Oregon Duck, having met her husband (Steven Silver) and the father of her three children at the University of Oregon where she studied Home Economics.
Mimi loved to travel, and spent part of her life living in Australia, Norway, and England before settling back in Southern California. She was a SoCal resident for the past twenty years, enjoying the beaches of Malibu, the slopes of Mammoth, and the Palm Springs desert.
As a graduate of Long Beach State University with a Masters in Nutrition, Mimi always advocated healthy living. She enjoyed walking with her puggle along the endless trails and hills behind her home in Thousand Oaks, California.
Mimi will always be remembered for her humor, kindness, and compassion towards others. She was beloved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her three children.

Aramcon Danny Norton DH 79 sends this news to us and writes: "I'm very sorry to report that Mimi Howard (DH 74) passed away on March 14th due to complications from early on-set Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her three children, Gino, Eli, and Shayna.
While I didn't know her well, we sat next to each other on a flight home from one of the Tucson Reunions and ended up talking quite a bit. She was an interesting person who had done a lot with her life. I enjoyed seeing her and getting caught up at most of the Reunions since then."
