Mickey Stebbins Phelps
Mickey Stebbins Phelps of Boulder City passed away on Sept. 16, 2014. Mickey was a loving mother, wife and sister. Mickey was born in Saudi Arabia on Jan. 12, 1952, to Rod and Ann Stebbins. The family moved to Boulder City in 1965 when Mickey was in junior high school. She was active in school activities and the Girl Scouts. After high school, she went to medical assistant school in Phoenix, and lived there for a few years. She moved back to this area, got married and started a family. She moved to Virginia for a few years when her then-husband got a job with the military. She moved back to Boulder City with her two eldest children when that marriage ended. She married Randy Phelps in 1991, and they had two children. After her youngest child entered high school, Mickey took up golf and became active in the Boulder City Women's Golf Association. She was also instrumental in organizing the class of 1970 reunions. She is survived by her husband, Randy Phelps; four children, Chris (Jen) Elder, Cory Elder, Sean (Allie) Phelps and Heather Phelps; sister, Irene (Boon) Lilly; and numerous friends.
