Mary Haug

Born in Taft, CA to Walter and Edith Colon, Mary attended the University of Pacific, Stockton, then with a sense of adventure, she worked one year in Honolulu, Hawaii. In 1949, she married Roy "Buddy" Haug and joined him on their next adventure, where Roy worked for Aramco in Abqaiq and Dhahran over the next 30 years. During that time, they raised 4 boys and Mary made the most of her opportunity to explore every part of the world possible, both with her family and groups of friends alike.

During her time in Saudi, Mary worked in the travel industry and also managed ARAMCO's Executive Guest Houses where she frequently hosted high ranking Saudi and U.S. dignitaries. She took on hosting projects as well as redecorating facilities such as Hamilton House.

In 1979 Roy was transferred to ARAMCO's office in The Hague, Holland, where they spent 7 years before retiring to the U.S. in 1986.

In the U.S., Mary became very active in both the San Diego and Roseville PEO, supporting their events and fundraising efforts.

Mary's zest for life and travel, along with her vivacious and caring personality, surrounded her always with many dear friends. She was a fabulous role model to her children and grandchildren….a woman ahead of her time. She will be sadly missed, but very fondly remembered.

Mary is survived by her husband Roy, brother Richard, sons Jeffrey, Kevin, Rodney and Wesley, Grandchildren Ryan, Thomas, Katie, Charles and Jamie, and Great Grandchildren T.J. and Tyler.
