Marcus 'Mark' Walter Sevier

Dr. Mark Sevier passed away on March 10, 2016. Survived by daughters Victoria Zizmont of Beaumont, and Pamela Tomlinson and husband Will of Houston; brother Zay Sevier of North Carolina; and grandchildren Gavin, Courtney, and Savannah Zizmont.

A person who was very involved in education and learning, he taught for 45+ years both locally and abroad. He held his BA in drama, MA · British Lit & Linguistics and PhD · British Lit, Mediaeval, German & Linguistics and was fluent in six languages.  He was loved and respected by many.

He was an active member of the Dhahran Theatre Group, both on and off stage. Performing in "South Pacific, among others, but his most memorable role was as Count Dracula and taking his final curtain call sitting up in his coffin holding a much loved teddy bear.
