Lynn B. Milam, Jr.
Mrs. Lynn B. Milam, Jr. of Dhahran died July 12, 1968 in Cork, Ireland, following a brief illness. She was accompanying her husband on return from repatriation leave when she fell ill.
The former Patricia Kingsland Talbot was born in California, attended schools in Southern California and the University of California at Berkeley. She and Mr. Milam were married November 29, 1941. Mrs. Milam first joined her husband in Saudi Arabia in November, 1951.
Mrs. Milam was an avid golfer, a past club champion and tournament chairman. She was active in the Canterbury Group both as a member of its choir and leader of the EYC youth group. She was a member of the Dhahran Women's Group and served as a columnist for the Sun and Flare for eight years.
Mrs. Milam is survived by her husband and four children; two sons and two daughters. Carolyn, Mrs. Rudolf Hartmann, now lives in Tehran. While on leave the Milams attended Katherine's marriage on April 16 to Robert C. Waters, formerly of Dhahran. The Waters now reside in San Francisco. Thomas, 18, has just graduated from St. Stephens in Rome and will enter the University of California at San Diego in the fall. John, 15, also attends St. Stephens in Rome.
Mrs. Milam is also survived by her mother, a sister and a brother. Her mother, Mrs. H. B. Breckwedel, lives at 652D Avenue Sevilla, Laguna Hills, Calif.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be sent to the American Cancer Society, 521 West 57th Street, New York.
