Lindy G. Aubrey
Born September 1, 1927, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a resident of Longview since 1983, he was the son of the late Garland Aubrey and Viola Aubrey.
Lindy was preceded in death by his son, Michael Sessions of Pearland; sister and brother-in-law, Winnell and Charles Miller of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and brother-in-law, Thomas Blackmon of Kilgore.
Grieving his passing yet cherishing his memories are his wife of more than 40 years, Patsy Aubrey; son, Kenneth Lee Sessions; daughter-in-law, Teri Sessions of Pearland; sister-in-law, Jean Blackmon of Kilgore; special nieces, Carey Blackmon Weaver and her husband, Craig Weaver, of Friendswood, and Kelley Blackmon Burns and her husband, Tom Burns, of Pearland.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Reis Sessions of Tennessee, Riley Sessions of Pearland, Alecia Sessions Dickerson of Mount Pleasant, Kristain Sessions Bennett and her husband, Mathew Bennett, of Beckville, and Nikki Smitherman Featherly and her husband, Nathan Featherly; and great-grandchildren, Shayla Sessions, Cameron Dickerson, Kevon Dickerson, Andrea Bennett, Landon Bennett, Jocelyn Featherly and Jewel Featherly.
Lindy served our country in the Merchant Marines and U.S. Army. He was retired from Aramco, Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Longview and a 32nd Degree Mason. Lindy enjoyed singing and became a member of the Sound Connection in Kilgore and afterward, was a member of River Cities Jublee in Shreveport, La.
Lindy loved watching the Chicago Cubs play baseball and the Dallas Cowboys play football. He enjoyed golf and, later in life, became an avid tennis player.
A memorial service to celebrate Lindy's life will be held at a later date.
