Kyle Jordan Atchison
Kyle Jordan Atchison, 29, of Everett, Washington went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2012. Kyle was receiving medical treatment for his nerve damage, CRPS, at UCLA at the time of his passing. Kyle was born June 9, 1983 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia to Carolyn and Ralph Atchison of Alabama.
Kyle was active in his boy scout troop, earning his Eagle Scout in 1999. Kyle graduated from Blue Ridge School in Virginia in 2002 where he then went on to graduate from LeTourneau University in Longview, TX with a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Science Professional Flight and a minor in Marketing in 2008.
While attending LeTourneau University, Kyle met his wife, Lisa Jones Atchison, of Everett, WA and they married on July 15, 2006. While in college, Kyle achieved his private through his multi-engine pilot ratings, he was also a member of the NIFA precision flight team.
After college, Kyle and his wife, Lisa moved to Kerrville, TX where Kyle worked with Aviation Insurance.
In 2010, Kyle and Lisa welcomed their daughter, Noelle. Later on in 2010 the Atchison family moved up to Everett to be closer to family. While in Everett, Kyle was an integral part of his church, Edmonds Church of God. Kyle served on the Board of Trustees as well as on the sound board for the worship team. In 2012, their second child, a son named Ryan, was welcomed into the world
Kyle is survived by his wife, Lisa Atchison (Everett), his children; Noelle and Ryan (Everett); his parents, Ralph and Carolyn Atchison (Dhahran, Saudi Arabia); his grandmother, Norma Atchison (Dayton, OH); his grandmother and grandaddy, Maude Ellen "Boppa" and J. Winfred Brown (Selma, AL); his sister and brother-in-law, Erin Suzanne and Drew Lufkin (Columbus, GA); his mother and father-in-law, Peggy and Norman Jones (Everett, WA); his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Heidi and Jason Hiller (Fort Campbell, KY); his nephew, Jacob Hiller (Fort Campbell, KY); cousins of the Jordan-Whitehurst family; and many friends that are spread all over the world. Kyle was predeceased by his grandaddy, Harry Atchison (Pension, AL).
A memorial service for Kyle will be held on Saturday November 10, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Edmonds Church of God, Edmonds, WA with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, we are setting up a memorial fund at the church for Kyle as well as a college fund for the kids.
