Funeral services for Johnnie Marson Clower, 79, of Diana, will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 26, 2009, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, with Bro. Sam Martin officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Clower passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009, at a Gilmer nursing home.

Mr. Clower was born October 6, 1929, to John Write and Lillie Mae Clower in Maud, Oklahoma. He retried in 1992 as a drilling foreman for ARAMCO, in Saudi Arabia, was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1948, and was a Baptist.

Mr. Clower is survived his wife, Marguerite Clower of Diana; sons, Don White of Kingsland and Steve Clower of Midland; daughters, Nancy Chappell of Midland and Connie Waddell of Angelton; sister and brother-in-law, Inita and Garland Bullock of Gilmer; grandchildren, Monty Morgan of Arkansas, John Mark Cooper of Odessa, Matthew Waddell of Angelton, Katy Waddell of Angelton and Alisha Carolyn White of Kingsland; niece, Scarlett Bradly of San Angelo; and nephew, John Wayne Rich of Greenville, South Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Hugh Majors, John Organ, Jim Sheek, Jack Campbell, H.W. McCoy and Scott Pool.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today, January 25, 2009, at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
