John Thomas

It is with a very sad heart that I inform you of the death of our friend John (JayTee) Thomas (Saudi Aramco Retiree badge number 165267).

JayTee passed away peacefully in his sleep at home following a brain bleed that left him bedridden and disabled for the past 30 months.

He was surrounded by those who loved and cared for him, particularly his wife Eleanor who had courageously looked after him throughout.

JayTee will be remembered by his incredible hospitality soirees at his homes in both Yanbu and Rabigh together with his musical talents both as a lead guitarist and vocalist in the rock band ‘UKAZE’.

JayTee will be sadly missed by those who really knew him and he will be cremated as was his wish, a simple exit with him alone present – no service.

This is the final tribute to a great friend.

Around The Corner by Henson Towne

Around the corner I have a friend, In this great city that has no end.
And before I knew it a year is gone, And I never see my old friend's face;
For life is a swift and terrible race.

He knows I like him just as well as in the days when I rang his bell
And he rang mine. We were younger then -
And now we are busy, tired men - Tired with playing a foolish game;
Tired with trying to make a name.

"Tomorrow," I say, "I will call on Jim, "Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes - and tomorrow goes; And the distance between us grows and grows.
Around the corner! - yet miles away . . ."Here's a telegram, sir." "Jim died today."

And that's what we get - and deserve in the end - Around the corner, a vanished friend.
