We bring the sad news that John G. Wernsdorfer, Aramco Medical Department retiree, died on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was a kind and wonderful man who gave us his all. He will be missed terribly but he prepared us well for our time without him. His was, as a friend put it, "a life well lived" - he lived and died with quiet grace and dignity. We will be preparing a formal obituary in the coming days; in the meantime we will be spending some private time as a family.

We will be directly contacting as many people as possible, but he touched many lives including many people we don't know, so we would appreciate it if you can pass word along to any of his colleagues, friends, and neighbors from Arabia.

We do ask that no cards or flowers be sent - we appreciate your kind thoughts, but that is all we need right now.
