Jimmy Karol Beresky Jr.
Jimmy Karol Beresky Jr. passed away at the San Antonio Methodist Specialty & Transplant Hospital at the age of 73. He was born February 2, 1950, in Mercedes Texas to Osbelia and Jimmy Beresky Sr.
He attended Ed Couch Elsa High School where he graduated in 1968. He attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering in 1972. He acquired this degree while being a husband, father, held a part-time job, and belonged to the Texas Aggie Band. A feat that both he and his wife, Catarina, were proud of.
Jimmy was commissioned in the Army USAR QH as a 2 Lt. He served in the Army and Army reserves for about 2.5 years.
Jim worked as a petroleum Engineer with Dowell/DS in Texas, CNGFD/Dominion in Pittsburgh PA, Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia, Oxy in Houston, and KinderMorgan in Midland Texas. He loved his work and missed it a lot in his retirement years.
Jimmy and his wife retired to Boerne Texas, where he was able to maintain beautiful floral gardens, care for his home acreage, care for his beloved pets (Rigby then Cady), and participate in memorial services with the local American Legion. He loved to read all types of books. There were times when he had three books being read at the same time, but as he got older and his vision wasn’t as sharp, he would only read periodically. He maintained his overseas membership with the China Post 1. And, as most of his relatives and friends knew he was a true heart Aggie. He attended football games and reunions whenever possible.
Jim is preceded in death by both of his parents, Osbelia and Jimmy Beresky Sr, and his two uncles, Carl Beresky and Bill Beresky.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Catarina, and his two daughters, Dee and Denise.
