Jim Hannah
James Glenn Hannah, Jr., age 62 has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 16, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was born December 17, 1946 at Montgomery Air Force Base, Alabama. Jim was from a long line of Hannahs from Florence, Alabama where he grew up and lived until he joined the Army.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. Jim attended East Tennessee State University, graduating with a B.S. from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and earning his MBA from the University of Tennessee System. Proud Fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team, Founding Member of the Pachyderm Club of Chattanooga and Founding Member of the Horny Toads Basketball and Softball Recreational Teams.
Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Diana Lynne Hannah, formerly of Beaumont, Texas. The two met in Chattanooga, Tennessee where they began their life of world wide travels as part of Jim's employment as a Procurement contract specialist. Jim spent more than 20 years working in Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait. Diana lived in Saudi Arabia for a period of time and then moved to Murfreesboro where they set up their permanent home.
Jim is also survived by his daughters and their families, Sarah Lynne Farley, her husband Henry Dean Farley and their children, Caela L., Keili N., and Kyler D. Johnson all of Crossville, TN, Jeanette G. Marchessi-Acevedo and her husband Cesar Marchessi-Acevedo and their children Yaisett A., and Yuneisi H. Perez all of Miami, Florida, Andria L. Balaguer and her husband Alejandro Balaguer and child Alexandria Balaguer all of Miami, Florida, and daughter, Heather D. Hannah of Chattanooga, TN, sister, Deborah Cain and her husband Paul Cain and their children Brandon, Derek, and Hannah Cain all of Athens, AL, nephew, Michael Shane Byrd and wife, Wendy Byrd of Florida, nephew, Justin Hannah of Florida, pets, Oliver Hannah, latest addition, James Berton Hannah, and Jared Hannah, grand-pets, Pete, Iris, Cisco, Minnie, Coco, and the late Sadie. Jim was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy Marie Hannah, father, James Glenn Hannah, Sr. and sister, Sherry Kay Hannah all of Florence, AL.

Memorial service will be 1:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. J. W. Vickers officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Hematology and Stem Cell Clinic, Suite 2603, The Vanderbilt Clinic, 1301 Medical Center Drive, Nashville, TN 37232 or a charity of your choice.
