James William "Hacksaw" Gray, Jr., 91 year old, Vinita Resident, died Monday April 30, 2012 at his home in Vinita. He was born November 20, 1920 in Lexington, OK the son of James W. Gray Sr. and Bess Rose Gray. He was raised and started school in Lexington then moved to Norman where he graduated high school. He attended the University of Oklahoma and earned his BA in Business Administration. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of the VFW. He worked in the Oil fields where he was a drilling manager working as a subcontractor with Mobil Oil, Aramco as well as other oil company's. Hacksaw was well known and respected in the oil business. He was avid sports enthusiast especially following the OU Sooners and Atlanta Braves.

He leaves behind his wife of 24 years Maria of the home, a daughter, Carol Graywing, one son, Michael Kent Gray and step son, Gerard Gallardes, three grandchildren, Shawn, Sommer and Lauren and a great grandchildren, Jackson, Jared and Alyssa.

A celebration of life service will be held Friday May 4, 2012 at 3:30 at Luginbuel Funeral Home.
