Oil Explorers

James Kline et al: mapping an oil bearing site of the Rub al-Khali.
My Dad enjoyed his work as a geologist in Saudi Arabia, often speaking fondly of his days in the desert field camps. It allowed him to experience part of the bedouin culture as well because many of his stories included encounters with Saudi nomads. I think he enjoyed the freedom and sense of adventure the vast desert offered its inhabitants and ARAMCO's oil exploits.
Above all, my Dad imparted that love for the Saudi desert and its culture to me and my brother, instilling the friendships we made with all those who grew up in that special part of the world.
