James Jarvie Forrester

25 August 1904 - 27 September 1946

Under: Obituary

Last evening at 5:30 p.m. we paused to pay our respects to the late James Jarvie Forrester who passed away at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday September 27, 1946.

His death was pronounced as heart failure while swimming in the Persian Gulf near Al Azizziyah; apparently the end was induced due to his entering the water right after eating, as he seemed to his friends who were with him to be in good physical health.

James arrived in Arabia on August 29, 1946 on his first tour of duty for Aramco, and while he was here but a short month, his passing is felt by all of us.

Pallbearers were: Ernest Brack, Vincent Clarke, Walter Kane, Stephen Kababik, Michael McMahon, John McNulty, John Nolan, Alton Palmer.

The Eulogy was read by John V. Rafferty.

James Jarvie Forrester was born in Scotland on August 25, 1904; he was connected with the building trade in the United States since about 1924.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Harriet Forrester, who resides at 306-56th Street, Brooklyn, New York, with their three sons, John, James, and Thomas, 12, 10, and 6 years respectively.
