Howard Janotta
Howard Janotta, 86, a corporate pilot for more than 30 years, died on November 22 at his home in San Antonio. He was a B-24 pilot during World War II, after which he played professional basketball for two years before embarking on a 43-year career as a corporate pilot. Janotta flew for the Arabian American Oil (Aramco) flight department for 16 years and then helped found AT&T’s flight department, where he served for 20 more years. From 1993 until 2000, he was actor John Travolta’s pilot.
