Howard E. Mooneyham, 75, of Horseshoe Bay, TX, passed away Thursday September 24, 2014 in Seton Hospital, Round Rock, TX.

Born to Shaunty and Louella Mooneyham in Oregon, Illinois on April 25, 1939, the family moved to Perryton, TX in 1951 where Howard graduated from Perryton High School in 1957.

After 22 years in Saudi Arabia, Howard retired from Saudi Aramco as an oil and gas drilling consultant in 2000. For the ten years prior to that, he worked in Trinidad-Tobago and Nigeria for Santa Fe Drilling.

Howard is survived by his wife Janie of the home; three daughters - Gaylyn Hanners and husband Brad of Fort Worth; Leslyn Wallace and husband Mike of Midland; and Devyn Hayley and husband Rick of Weatherford; two sons - Mike Mooneyham and wife Bernadette of Granbury; and Sambo McLain and wife Melanie of Hico; and the delights of his life - nine grandchildren: Donna Hanners, Dalyn Hillman,Mattisyn Henderson, Makynna Wallace, Felicia Mooneyham, Stran and Sammy McLain, Taylor and Trevor Hayley, and three great-grandsons - Corbin and Guhnar Hillman, and D.J. Mooneyham. One sister, Linda Shaver, of Las Vegas also
survives.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers - James and Michael.

A memorial service will be held Saturday Oct. 4 at 2:00 pm at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation or the Ranger Fund.
