Henry Clyde (Heinie) Snyder
Henry Clyde (Heinie) Snyder died of a cerebral hemorrhage June 4 in Franklin, Pa. News of his death was received by L. U. Daniel in a cable from John Ames. Snyder, on home leave, was staying at the home of his sister, Mrs. W. L. Lowers, 1231 Otter St., Franklin, Venango County, Pa. Funeral services were held June 6.
Snyder, who was a driller in the Exploration department, left Saudi Arabia early this spring. He had marked a quarter of a century of service with Aramco and affiliated companies January 31, 1959.
He began work with Standard Oil Company of California in 1934 and a year-and-a-half later he transferred to the Bahrain Petroleum Company for his first overseas assignment.
From April, 1936, until October, 1939, he worked for Bapco and Socal and as a loan-out to Casoc. Transferring to Casoc (later named Aramco) he arrived in Saudi Arabia in 1939 and worked here until the time of his death. [Photograph]
