Henriette Hanna Shehadeh Brown
Henriette Hanna Shehadeh Brown was born on February 7, 1931 in Jerusalem, Palestine. Her family had to leave their home in 1948, and her sisters, brothers, mother and father went to live in Beirut, Lebanon. There she met her husband, James Brown, and they were married on April 21, 1952. James was working as an Engineer for Aramco, and they made their home in Saudi Arabia until 1956. They then moved to Port Clinton, Ohio for a few years. In 1960, James and Henriette decided to move their family to Silver Spring, Maryland. This became their permanent home.
Henriette worked for the Health Department in Montgomery County. She started at Sligo Jr. High and then moved to various clinics throughout the county. She decided to make a career change and joined the staff of the Montgomery County Library System and worked at their headquarters in Rockville for many years until she retired.
Henriette leaves behind 4 children and their spouses, Amanda Ayvaz, John and Jennifer Brown, Armilda and Jose Brown-Rodriguez, and Justin and Cindy Brown; 8 grandchildren, Zeina Ayvaz, Douglas Pearre, Katelyn Brown, Anthony Ayvaz, Collette Pearre, Daris Womack, Jacob and Megan Brown, Colleen Levin, and Emily Brown; 4 great-grandchildren, Donald Womack, Dominique Womack, Joey Ayvaz, and Lily Brown. Her hobbies included, cooking, gardening, traveling, being an active member of her ladies group at Northwood Presbyterian Church, and socializing with her neighbors in Leisure World.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Graveside service: Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2:30pm at Norbeck Memorial Park
