Guenther Wolfgang Roppel
Guenther Wolfgang Roppel, Saudi Aramco retiree, passed away in Bogota, Colombia on June 4th, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Fulda, Germany on July 3rd, 1935, grew up in Baranquilla, Colombia and studied Petroleum Engineering at The Colorado School of Mines and The University of Tulsa. He worked for Aramco from 1969-1985 in Abqaiq and Dhahran. He was predeceased by his wife Nina and is survived by his sister Eva, his children Guenther Jr, Monica, Karl and Andrew, and his grandchildren Malte and Beckett.
