George Harrell Temple
Dr. George Harrell Temple, 46, supervisor, Clinical Medicine in the Ras Tanura Health Center, died suddenly May 6 while on repatriation leave in the United States.
A native of Mississippi, Dr. Temple received his BS degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, and his MD degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, La.
Dr. Temple maintained a private practice for six years after obtaining his MD, and then worked for two years in the Mississippi State Tuberculosis Sanitarium. For five years he was medical director, as well as medical advisor, to the Commanding Officer of the Naval Base on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. Just prior to his arrival in Ras Tanura on June 27, 1965, Dr. Temple was the staff physician on the Mangla Dam Project in West Pakistan.
