Elizabeth Mae Snyder passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 at her home in Rossmoor, at the young age of 99. Betty was born in California and raised & educated in the East Bay Area. She attended UC Berkeley and began her early working life on jobs in the Bay Area & Honolulu. Betty became an Executive Secretary working in San Francisco and New York where in 1952 she met and married Aramco V.P., Lester M Snyder. They relocated to Dhabran, Saudi Arabia for about 11 years. Betty & Les retired to Sonoma County where they were active in community affairs and as teachers in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. They also resided in Palm Springs, CA and San Ramon, CA before moving to their final home at Rossmoor. Betty is predeceased by many including her husband Lester and her brothers Bob and Bill Loomis. She is survived by her Nephews Leland Loomis and Steve Loomis, Nieces Susan Stoops and Cindy Haener, as well as 9 great & 8 great-great grand nephews and nieces.

Betty lived a very fulfilling life traveling to foreign lands & cruising the seas. She loved being involved with the Coast Guard Auxiliary and spending time on her houseboat "The Honey B". She was a very independent lady for most of her life until needing to rely on her wonderful caregivers, Lorraine, Mylene, and Yasmin whom the family are extremely grateful to.
