Elbert B. Gray, 90, of San Benito, TX, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Cross Plains, Texas. He was born on October 12, 1933 in San Benito, TX.

He was a proud Texas A&M University graduate of the class of 1956.

In 1956, E.B. married Patsy Gray in San Benito, Texas. They had four children. He served in the Air Force as an Industrial Hygienist, where his military career took the family to numerous locations. He then worked for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia, until he and Pat returned to Texas to retire.

E.B. (Elbert) Gray enjoyed watching sports, particularly Aggie Football, in his free time. He was an active member of the Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and deacon.

He is survived by his children, Dee and Paul Martin, Mike and Karen Gray, Kelley and Jack Reeves, Keith and Shasta Foreman, 9 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Gray, daughter Teri Foreman, parents Elbert and Effie Gray, and sisters Modele Akin, Genelle Ziegler Pyle, and Doris Waters.

In lieu of flowers and plants, contributions can be made to the Cross Plains Senior Center (Cross Plains, TX), or to the church or charity of your choice.

The Clifton Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
