Doris Grant, 89, of Sarasota, Florida died on October 17, 2009.
Doris was the wife of William R. Grant, who came to Saudi Arabia in 1945 as a trainee refinery operator. He commissioned the Abqaiq power plant about 1950. Doris and Bill were married around 1954. They lived in Abqaiq until about 1978. They relocated to Dhahran, and left Arabia about 1983. They lived in Sarasota, Florida. Bill passed away in 1999. All Aramcons will miss Doris very much.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Whetstone of Sarasota.
There will be no service. National Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
