Donna Mae Lebsock Hansen, age 79, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on June 25 following complications of a stroke.

Donna was born on January 22, 1935 to Harry Lebsock and Hazel Spear Lebsock. She attended schools in Denver and Brush, CO; Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; and Beirut, Lebanon. 

The Lebsock family lived for many years in the Middle East where her father was employed by ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia.

Donna attended the University of Idaho and obtained a BA degree with honors at St. Maries College of California in 1988. Donna married John D. Hansen on April 16, 1954. They resided in Idaho Falls for many years and raised three children: Linda Hansen of Floresville, TX, Patricia Hansen of Spokane, WA and Steven Hansen of McCall, ID. Donna and John divorced in 1983.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Robert and Richard Lebsock. She is survived by her children, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a brother Kenneth Lebsock of Gaithersburg, MD, an aunt Lillian Chavez of Albuquerque, NM, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 For many years Donna worked and traveled extensively for AT&T as a computer network specialist during which time she lived in Alameda, CA; Boise, Post Falls and Harrison, ID. She was politically astute, skilled in nature photography, a Master Gardner, and a creative writer.

A private service and burial will be held on July 1 at the Finnish Church in McCall, ID. a Celebration of Life is being held on August 2, 2014 in Boise and memorial contributions can be made to American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), 1111 14th St. SW, Ste. 400, Washington, DC 21005.
