Clifford Chandler
Mr. Clifford Chandler, 82, of Corsicana passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Twilight Nursing Home in Corsicana. Cliff as he was known to his family and friends was born on September 22, 1932 in Clarksville, Texas to Sherman and Evelyn Cecil Chandler.
He married Edna "Booch" Blanche Goodwin in Reynosa, Mexico in 1950, and they made their home briefly in Raymondville, Texas. Through the years, Cliff had the pleasure of making many new friends while living in various towns in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida.
In 1978, he experienced a different lifestyle when he was employed with Aramco Oil in Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia. This experience gave him the opportunity to make many friends from all over the world.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Booch Chandler; parents, Sherman and Evelyn Chandler; and a brother, Doug Chandler.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Lennon and husband, Larry of Corsicana and Karen Commiato and husband, Chris of Corsicana; grandsons, Nicholaus Bourgeois and wife, Lia of Monterey, California and Caleb Shreffler of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; great grandson, Dylan Bourgeois of Monterey, California; brothers, J.D. Chandler and wife, Karen of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and E.M. Chandler and wife, Mary Jane of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and a sister-in-law, Kay Chandler of Decatur, Alabama.
Visitation with the family will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Otis Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
