Clare Jones
Clare Jones passed away on December 4th after a 10-year battle with dementia. She was in Dhahran from 1981 through 1996 with her husband Bud. During her time there she worked as a telephone operator for Communications, taught stained glass, participated with the Dhahran Theatre Group (DTG), dodged SCUDs, fed troops during the Gulf War and traveled whenever possible.
After retirement in 1996, Clare settled in Gainesville, FL near her sons Tom and Kevin. She continued traveling. First by RV to all the states accompanied by Bud and her dogs; then, as travel became more difficult, river and ocean cruises.
