Charles Wilson Fretz
Saudi Aramco Annuitant Charles "Charlie" Wilson Fretz, 71, of Punta Gorda passed away November 7, 2007. He was born March 6, 1936 in Hatfield, PA to Wilson and Edith (Borneman) Fretz.
Charlie graduated with a bachelor of science from Penn State and a master's from University of CT. Charlie retired after 15 years of service with Saudi Aramco as an assistant superintendent.
He was previously a project engineer with Hamilton Standard and most recently was a realtor with Century 21 Sunbelt. He was a member of the Lee County Realtor Association.
Charlie was a world traveler, an accomplished pilot, enjoyed fishing, scuba diving and skiing but his main passion was sailing which he did often including competitively with various sailing clubs.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Jennifer Wilson of North Port, FL; son, Kevin Fretz of Wethersfield, CT; sister Betty Lauman of Lansdale, PA; ex-wife and friend Noreen McCarthy of Punta Gorda and seven grandchildren.Charlie was predeceased by his brothers Stewart and Ronald.
A celebration of Charlie's life will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, CT.
