Betty Ann West
Betty West of Farragut, TN was called home to Heaven on April 23, 2024. She was a faithful member of Clear Springs Baptist Church in Corryton, TN. Betty was a strong woman, not only in faith, but in everything she did. She was a loving Wife, devoted Mother, caring Sister and crazy about her Grandchildren. She lived an incredible life, traveling around the world with her favorite travel companion, her husband. As much as she loved to travel, she loved being home with her family above all. Her family always filled her heart with joy.
Preceded in death by Mamaw Woods; father, John Russell Laymance; mother, Charlene Woods Laymance; sister, Mary Laymance; sister-in-law, Cheryl Laymance and nephews, Craig Davis, Josh Laymance, Tyler Clifton.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Garry West; son, Michael (Julie) West; daughter, Stacey (Charlie) Maltman; grandchildren: Miranda (Jon) Grimes, Justin (Sarah) West, Abby West, Rylie Maltman; brothers: Johnny (Diana) Laymance, David Laymance, Ronnie (Tammy) Laymance, Bobby (Anna) Laymance; sisters: Kathy Loy, Martha Clifton, Liz Taylor; nieces; nephews and several other extended family members.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 25, 2024 between the hours of 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville with a service to follow at 7:00 PM officiated by Rev. Justin West, Dr. Jerry Vittatoe, and Rev. Justin Pratt. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home, Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11:45am and go in procession to East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, Gov. John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville for a 12:30 PM Interment Service.
