Barbara Ann Vest
Barbara Ann Vest died peacefully at home Monday, January 19, 2015; her family was with her at the time. She was born November 6, 1939 on Manhattan Island. Barbara was a devout Catholic with the Lord a constant inspiration in her life.
Much of her early life was spent in Saudi Arabia and Rome, Italy where her father worked for Aramco (Arabian American Oil Company).
After high school she enlisted in the U. S. Navy and became a AK (Aviation Storekeeper). She was honorably discharged four years later in 1962. Barbara married Bobby G. Vest at NAS, Brunswick, ME. They were married 43 years until his death in 2005.
Barbara had a wonderfully blessed life and she will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Herrick; mother, Thelma Herrick; and her beloved husband, Bobby G. Vest.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Tom Herrick (Charo) and their children; son, Steven M. Vest; grandson, Sean M. Vest; and her great-granddaughter, Reighanun Vest.
Mass will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at 1:15 p.m., Barrancas National Cemetery.
