B. W. "Buster" Chancy
Memorial services were held in 'Udhailiyah today for B. W. "Buster" Chancy who died November 12 while on vacation in Idaho. Mr. Chancy was 49 years old.
Mr. Chancy first arrived in Saudi Arabia in the 1950s where, as a member of the Bechtel Corporation, he participated in the construction of the Trans-Arabian Pipe Line. In 1966 he returned to join the Aramco Maintenance and Shops organization in Ras Tanura, and later worked in Abqaiq Plant Maintenance and Project Management. More recently, he was involved with the Abqaiq-Ghawar Desalting Project, and at the time of his death he was construction superintendent for 'Uthmaniyah GOSP 6.
Mr. Chancy is survived by his wife, Marian, son Robin, and daughter, Beth Maroney. It is requested that any of the Chancy family members be contacted in care of Mrs. Maroney, 563 Tuna, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78418. [Photograph]
