Angela G. Binner
Angela G. Binner, 96, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Juniper Village. Born in Lewistown, MT, on September 2, 1920, Angela was a daughter of the late James and Barbara (Cervenka) Nyman. She was a member of St. Cecelia's parish, Legion of Mary, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Angela lived a full life. At eighteen she left her home state of Montana and moved to Los Angeles. There she worked at IBM and took advantage of all the city had to offer. Wanting to see the world, she quit her job after the war, traveled through Europe, and then moved to Saudi Arabia where she worked as a secretary for Aramco. Soon after she married and moved to Texas, Mexico, and Venezuela before settling in Schaefferstown, PA. She worked as a secretary and eventually got her LPN. She worked at Cedar Haven for many years. Angela enjoyed baking and was known for her Christmas bread and sticky buns. She loved to travel, taking many bus trips. She even took a return trip to Saudi Arabia.
Angela is survived by four children: Barbara J. Horlacher, wife of David of Mechanicsville, VA; Angela M. Binner of Schaefferstown, PA; Donald K. Binner, Jr., husband of Cindy of Lebanon; and Michael Binner, husband of Debra of Lebanon; 3 grandchildren: Andrea N. Reigle, wife of Benjamin of Washington, D.C.; Jessica M. Horlacher of Columbus, OH; Benjamin J. Horlacher of Mechanicsville, VA; and a brother, Frank Nyman, of Anchorage, AK. She was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 12, 2016, at Sacred Heart Church, 2596 Cornwall Rd. in Cornwall. Interment will follow at Holy Savior Cemetery in Cornwall. Viewing hours will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angela's name can be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, P.O. Box 136, Cornwall, PA 17016. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
