- In FY 2014, we issued 14.1 million passports and passport cards.
- Over 123 million valid U.S. passports are in circulation – about 38 percent of U.S. citizens have a passport (compared to 14 million in circulation in 1991).
- In FY 2014, we registered 66,854 overseas births to U.S. parents

Did You Know?... In FY 2014, we conducted 8,685 Prison Visits, assisted the families of 10,245 U.S. citizens who died while abroad, handled 30,807 Welfare/Whereabouts Inquiries, and issued 41,513 emergency passports.
