During my ongoing trip to Canada, I accompanied my grandchildren, Hamza and Huzaifa, to Oshawa, a Toronto recreational center, for the following activities:

  • Swimming
  • Water & Rain Dance Fun
  • Library

I want to share these interesting activities with the Aramco Expats global community.

Swimming is a life-saving skill that can mean the difference between life and death should an accident in or near water occur. According to the National Drowning Prevention Alliance (NDPA), the following incidents can happen:

The Water is My Sky, and I Swim to Fly

Research suggests that formal swimming lessons help reduce the risk of drowning by 88% for 1-4 year olds.

Keeping this in mind, my grandson Hamza was registered for the swimming summer camp at Oshawa Recreational Center, following are pictures taken during his lesson:

Upon completion of the training, a certificate was given in recognition of his efforts:

The over head bucket at the water area was an added fun feature just outside Delpark Homes Center.

Following are Hamza’s Library card and activities in the library;

Involving myself with my grandchildren’s sports activities keep me away from stress and worries. I was feeling happy and energetic.
