While arranging my old files, I found the following picture; I (Mohammed Ifteqaruddin, Badge # 140948, Technical Advisor Mechanical Services at Ras Tanura Refinery) would like to share this memory with my fellow Aramco friends. I used to work at the Machine shop unit and Safety Relief Valve Segment. I was the supervisor for the Relief Valve Shop Segment in the year 1980.
Following are the features of the picture:
Earlier, smoking areas were not assigned and I used to smoke in my office while working. Staff of that era will know about it as smoking was not prohibited back then even in conference halls and during meetings. Now, smoking areas are clearly assigned and designated in Aramco.
All over Saudi Aramco, the retro Rotary Dial telephones were in use. Important keys of locks were kept in the supervisor office for safety and easy access.
In 1977, I joined the company, at that point all the Safety Relief Valves (SRV) of the Ras Tanura Refinery were sent to a contractor shop in Dammam.
I have the honour to be a part of the team who implemented full-swing maintenance and testing of the following SRV at Ras Tanura.
Following are the appreciation certificates and awards I received based on my contribution and services:
