Summer Jackson, Ph.D. student at MIT Sloan and organizational ethnographer, studies the policies and practices associated with building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce in fast-growth companies. Her work was recently highlighted in MIT News in an article titled, Studying the Cultures of Companies: PhD student and “organizational ethnographer” Summer Jackson investigates the complex social hierarchies that govern the way we work.
Summer is the younger daughter of Larry and Diane Jackson. She has an older sister Lailah Jackson and two older brothers, Roland and Geoffrey Jackson.
The Jackson Family were based in Dhahran from 1991-2001, whilst Larry was working as a Project Engineer - first for Southern Area and then for Northern Area Projects. After a long career in Saudi Arabia, Larry and Diane are now retired and living in Sedona, AZ.
