Congratulations Sterling R. Waite, Esq.
Sterling was awarded his Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, Athens, Georgia, on May 21, 2016.
Following graduation, Sterling passed the United States Patent Bar and Georgia State Bar exams and was officially sworn in as an attorney on December 2, 2016, in Atlanta Georgia.
Sterling is employed as a patent attorney at Finnegan, a leading intellectual property law firm, in Atlanta, Georgia, where he focuses his practice on several areas of patent law, including patent litigation and patent prosecution. Sterling is engaged to Ms. MariaKristina Stanley.
Sterling grew up in Saudi Arabia and lived in Abqaiq, Udhailiyah, and Dhahran.
He graduated from Dhahran Junior High School, Class of 2001, and attended Stony Brook Boarding School on Long Island for three years.
Upon high school graduation from Stony Brook School, Sterling was awarded the Presidential Scholarship by Manhattan College in New York City where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree on May 18, 2008.
On May 22, 2009, Sterling graduated with his Master of Science degree from the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University, New York City.
Fall of 2009, Sterling accepted a mechanical engineer position with Mercer Engineering Research Center located in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he was employed in the aerospace industry performing three-dimensional computer and finite element analyses for fixed and rotary wing military aircraft. After almost 4 years of employment at Mercer Engineering Research Center, Sterling made the decision to apply to University of Georgia School of Law.
