SAEEA Office Holders: Arif Qamar, Kamal A. Farooqi, Engr. Iqbal A. Khan, Mohammad Abdul Matin, Muhammad Salim Hamid, Shafiq A. Khan
Saudi Aramco Ex-Employees Association (SAEEA) celebrated its 28th Reunion on August 25, 2024, at Arena Club, Karachi. The highlights of the function are as follows:
- A total of 114 people, including children, attended the function.
- All attendees met with their old buddies and enjoyed the event.
- The event started with the recitation from the Holy Qur’an by SAEEA Vice President Engineer Iqbal A. Khan; followed by NAAT by Engineer S. Waqar Fakhri.
- SAEEA President, Kamal Ahmed Farooqi, welcomed all attendees and updated them about the activities of SAEEA in between 27th and 28th reunions; and SAEEA future plans.
- A total of four Members and Wife of one deceased Member passed away in between 27th and 28th They are:
- Shakeel ur Rahman Khan, Accounting Department, Dhahran
- Iqbal Ahmed, Material Supply Org. Riyadh
- Mirza Iqbal Baig, Accounts/Security/Materials Supply.
- Atauddin Qureshi, Material Supply - Contractor Employee, Riyadh.
- Wife of late Jaleel Ahmed Khan from Communication Department.
- Also, some of our colleagues have been sick and were not in a position to attend the event. We, all pray for their speedy health recovery and their attendance at the next reunion. They are:

- SAEEA had its last elections in 2016 when the current SAEEA team won with very high percentage. All attendees voted for current team except those who were contesting.

After three years (2019); when planning for the new elections, the general body opted to continue with the current team.
Furthermore, it was also decided that there would be no election exercise until it was needed. Now, it is five years and SAEEA felt the necessity of holding elections to determine the interests of other Members; including the children of Members, shouldering the responsibilities of running SAEEA smoothly.
To get the General Body's opinion, written consent was obtained during the reunion; only 2 persons opted for new elections. However, few opined to search for youth to shoulder the SAEEA responsibilities in the future.
SAEEA has continuously been working on this project and we did find a few young members. They may be good alternatives to the current office bearers. The results will be known to all members soon.
- SAEEA has so far released two news bulletins. Now, we are in the process of releasing the third one. SAEEA Vice President has been sick and this was the cause behind the delay in releasing the bulletin. Members and their families have been requested to join the bulletin in shape to provide material for their internal events.
- SAEEA account is very well maintained and checked/cleared by audit every year. If anyone wishes to check SAEEA accounts, he may contact our Finance Secretary. Otherwise, state his/her desire to see the account. We will then contact him/her as soon as possible.
- SAEEA congratulates its Five Members who have just returned from Saudi after performing UMRA; they are (1) Qazi Abdul Basit (2) Qazi Ahmed Naseer (3) Syed Muhammad Yahya (4) Syed Muhammad Arshad (5) Fakhra Begum
- The total strength of SAEEA is 267. Out of 267, 64 passed away. The leftover is 203.
- SHERO ADAB: SAEEA so far has four gatherings of SHERO ADAB. However, because of certain hurdles the fifth one is still pending. The next program will be announced soon.
- Doa Maghferagh for those who are not with us; Members and their relatives.
- Doa for fast recovery of ailing members and their families.
