Aramco and Golf
Since 2019, Aramco has played a strong role in showcasing both men’s and women’s professional golf in the Kingdom through our involvement with the Saudi International and Saudi Ladies International tournaments, as well as the Aramco Team Series.
Golf in Saudi Arabia can trace its origins to Aramco’s early days and employees, many of whom were avid golfers and fashioned sand courses to play the game.
Decades after introducing the sport of golf to the Kingdom, Aramco continues to loom large over the sport.
The legacy of the company’s support for the game of golf continues as the title sponsor of the upcoming Aramco Saudi Ladies International at Royal Greens from Feb. 16-19. This stop on the Ladies European Tour will feature the world’s No. 1 ranked Lydia Ko of New Zealand, who will attempt to become the first repeat tournament winner.
The 2023 Aramco Team Series kicks off this March in Singapore, with additional stops scheduled for West Palm Beach, Florida, in May; London in July; Hong Kong in October; and culminating with the series finale being hosted for the first time at the Riyadh Golf Club in November.
