Fred Bobb (Dh. '72) shared this photo from his days as Supervisor of Support Services for the Ras Tanura Refinery, back in 1986.
He recalls that this photograph was taken when he was on the phone with his boss John Wittrig, who was Assistant to the Refinery General Manager, Don Domes. John wanted to know the whereabouts of the Monthly Budget Report. Fred recalls, "It was there somewhere on my desk!" Fred also notes that in 1986, the RT Refinery, at 250,000 barrels capacity, was one of the largest in the world. It is still one of the largest in the world today (2024) at 550,000 barrels per day.
Fred notes, "I still have the gold Rolex watch as well as the 'stache."
